Christmas Fayre 2019

Every year Christmas takes over the hospice, and for one day we welcome in our community for our Christmas Fayre. Every year we look for ways to expand and increase the success of the Fayre. This year was definitely our biggest - yet again, and we couldn’t have done it would out some fantastic friends.

Supaglazing, a local double-glazing company, have always been strong supporters of ours; but this year they came through and shared our vision and sponsored our marquee! We had the whole car park covered to expand our usable space and our fundraising! As well as Supaglazing we had our delicious friends from Beantown back for such wonderful hot chocolate and hot drinks to keep us warm. And as for the food, the super stars of Rapid Relief Team in Gillingham stepped in and cooked up a storm!

Our Fayres have grown and created such an amazing community of stall holders who look to get involved with us every year. We were glad to have some familiar faces back with us as well as some new and exciting stalls. With some of those stalls come the wonderful faces behind them, our team of volunteers stand strong and support us decorating trees, running stalls and labelling teddy’s! We had a wonderful team come along on the Friday to help us get Fayre ready, and they set off to work, with all manner of festive preparations.

We can’t thank you all enough. Our volunteers, our stall holders and every single visitor. By shopping with us you are helping us continue to support the work of The Wisdom Hospice and making sure that no one has to face terminal illness alone. Even buying raffle tickets for our Grand Christmas Raffle helped make a huge contribution. We are so excited to reveal that we have raised in total £7,275.25! This is such a total to be proud of, so we cannot thank every person who was involved enough. Here’s to doing it again next year.

If you would like to be involved in future fayres, either as a stall holder or a volunteer please email bethtabeart@fowh.org.uk
